    Just Got Back From Border Patrol. Nothing Serious To Worry About.We Did See A lot Of Prey To the East Of Our Territory.

    *breathes deeply* There Was A Huge Hawk On The West-North Of our Territory. Its The Biggest Hawk I've Ever Seen, It Could Easily Take A Kit And Im Pretty Sure, If It Tried, It Could Take A Full Grown Cat. It Almost Got Me, You Can Say, I Was Not Expecting A Hawk. But, Otherwise Nothing Major Nor Important.

    P.S. BETTER TAKE CARE OF THE HAWK, IT FOLLOWED ME HALF-WAY HERE, THEN TURNED BACK. IT MIGHT COME TO THE CAMP.

    *gasps as the hawk swoops over them and snatches up Rainstream. She darts foreward, then jumps to the hawks back, gripping it's bony spine with sharp, outstretched claws. She pulls it down with a thud, then quickly finishes it off.*

Hears Beating Die Away, Sighs With Relief, Carefully POkes Head Out Of BUsh, Decides It's Safe For Now, Runs With KIts Right Behind, Takes Frost KIts Tail, Intwines With Own, Runs To Nursery Pushing KIts Carefully Along

    Some how rain stream ha gotten the whoole family together for a walk. he managed to pull storm paw away from lily kits side, and frost paws training sessions, and smoke paw and snow kit away from the med. cat den. she was relieved to be padding along side by side with her mate, dirt pelt, and her three oldest behind them, and snow kit was running a little bit ahead of them.

    some how she knew something was missing, but what?? she knew it wasnt pebble paw. maybe it was lily kit? no, thunder star maybe, no. rain stream pushed the idea out of her head and kept walking. when they were heading back all the kits scurried back to where they had come from. rain stream sighed in pride, and sadness as she watched all of her kits run off. even snow kit was in the med. cat den a lot now.

    Frost Leap had decided to patrol borders all alone today, since evryone so busy. she sniffs the air cautiously, she smelt something strange, she kept walking, after a few fox lenghts a little black and white, huge cub came out of a den, followed by three more, then out of the den a huge mother badger came out. Frost Leap ran faster than shed ever ran before she had to warn Smoke Cloud, His kits might be in danger if they found the camp.

    Frost Leap, Smoke CLoud, Storm Heart lined up by the den. the knew the had to kill the mother, and then worry about her cubs. They all nodded at one another, no one had told any one else, about the badgers. Storm Cloud threw a rock in the den, the heard a loud rawr. then the mother badger came out. she shook her head violently. She showed her teeth, but by the time her paw crashed down on the ground, the three cats had separated.

    Frost Leab circled her paws confusing the badger. While Storm Heart and Smoke CLoud went on either side of her. The two toms leaped onto the badgers back and clawed at her. she shook powerfully and threw storm heart off her back. smoke cloud held on. he saw the badger snapping jaws only inches from his face, her jaws were getting closer to him, Frost Leap saw what was happening and jumped onto the badgers head, and clawed. Finally Storm heart slowly got up, he was still dizzy, he flung himself into the battle once more. After what seemed like moons the badger backed away from the hissing cats and ran off into the woods, followed by her cubs.

    All three cats were worn out. They could hardly move, Smoke clouds Paw was bleeding non-stop, and storm hearts back was covered with scratches from where the badger had thrown him off, and frost leap, her head was gushing blood, by the second from where she saved smoke cloud, now she was the one in great danger of dying.

    Smoke Cloud and Storm Heart exchanged a worried glance. They both ignored their pain and tiredness, and sat down by Frost Leap and Tried to stop the bleeding. After a while it finally stopped, but there was a pretty big gap in her head that the blood had covered. Smoke Cloud meowed "marigold for infection." and storm paw, the strongest one went to look for marigold.

    Storm paw came back with quite a bit of mari gold. he pushed it over to smoke cloud. who chewed it up, and rubbed the juice on Frost Leaps head. she moaned in pain. But didnt even wake up. they were all to weak to make it back to camp, not including that smoke cloud and storm heart would have to carry their sister most likely.

    By the morning, Frost Leap was up before her brothers, she was in great pain, but she was alive, and awake.She hunted a little bit, she had to get her mind off things. she found the marigold and rubbed some on her head, she winced in pain. by the time the toms were up, she had caught three plump mice. and was fast asleep again. they looked at each other and smiled. they knew they would need to wait a few days to head back to camp, they needed a lot more strengh, which they had almost none at the time.

    'sniffs air' she easily picks up the scent of her kits and lily kit. added with something else.... Badger!!!!!!!! she picks up her pace, she sees a trail of blood, she notices its cats blood, but then she smells badgers blood. she runs as fast as she can. then stops as she sees the horrifing sight in front of her.

    he saw his mother leaning over smoke cloud and frost leap and mutterded "o no. shes gonna die, if she realizes..." his voice trailed off as his mother looked at him and snapped "why did you let the badger do this to my kits!" he snarled back "you think i got off easy?? and apparently im not your kit any more!!!!!"

    frost leap got up, and watched as his brother went and stood beside lily kit. he licked her cheek, and then muttered something she didnt catch. but then she muttered something back. then he turned to look at his siblings when he saw she was up, relief and love flooded in his eyes. he ran up to frost leap, and meowed in a happy voice "your alive. your awake. your my sister." he was trying not to tackle her as he rubbed up against her in welcome.

    Storm Heart, Smoke Cloud, Bramble Pool, Lichen Paw, and Stream Paw were on patrol. they sniffed and sniffed, there were no signs of the badgers that they had fought of with lily kit. so they went back to report that to thunder star.

    Stays. "you just laughed at me. why?" doesnt wait for an answer, runs off, sees big tree, jumps up tree. finds a tall branch, he sees the next tree over, he runs and jumps. he lands lightly on the branch, he jumped from tree to tree without worrying, and he was just plain having fun. he did this for a while, til he saw the camp, the jumped down from a high branch, he ran back to camp.

    "ok watch this." his eyes gleamed with fun and exitement as he said this. he ran up to a tall tree and climbed it easily, he went out on a branch, he saw a new branch on the next tree over, he took a few paces and took a flying leap, he landed perfectly, and lightly on the branch.

    she looked at storm heart, but he was gone. he had ran down the tree and was now running faster tan he ever had. he saw the fox and ivy kit. he ran into he fox knocking it over, he slashed its throught and clawed at its face, once he knew he had killed it. he picked up ivy kit and climbed the tree again, he found frost leap pacing, he dropped at ivy kit in front of her.

    storm heart reached the spot. he had made a nest big enough for five cats, out of mus and twigs. he had put layers of moss over it. he had also made a litle twig bowl, to hold prey in, he realized how good it looked. he had even made a walk way out into a beautiful view, you could see over the whole forest here, the entrance was surrounded by leaves and branches. there was only a gap where they could could see out over the vast landscapes. he had built a wall of twigs and vines, and moss so they wouldnt fall over. they prey holder held three squirrels, a crow, two mice, and a shrew.

    "i should eat." he takes a squirrel. he gulped it down. he meowed "good night dad. thanks." as he fell asleep he could hear everything that was happening, he was inthe mus,twig bed. he felt happy, he had covered it with moss. which grew on the tree here, and there was a stream not far away. he was proud of his accomplishment, and even more proud at his fothers words 'storm star.' he fell asleep with a full belly, and a long journey ahead of him, he only missed half a heart.

    Storm Heart came out on a small limb, he purrs 'ill show you how hold on..." he balanced himself, he wasnt going to the next limb, he was going down about 5-7 limbs at one time. he let go, he fell down, he landed pretty good on the limb he wanted to land on. then finished his way down limb by limb. he met her gaze when he hit the forest floor.

    Storm Heart open the leaves entrance. it show the big bed covered woth moss, the bowl filled with prey, the walk out into a beautiful view, the walls made of moss and leves, and the leaves that surrounded the the opening where you could see out into the forest, so u could see out, but they couldnt see in.
